Late Winter Witchy Bucket List ❄️ (10 Ideas To Celebrate Imbolc) (Podcast 169)

February’s Eve (AKA Imbolc, Candlemas, Groundhog Day) is the midpoint between the winter solstice and the spring equinox, celebrated around February first.

It’s one of the four cross-quarter days of the pagan year, and marks the midpoint between the darkest days of winter and the start of spring.

February presents the opportunity for a very welcome pause after the Midwinter celebrations. Now that the merrymaking festivities and gathering of gifts is behind us, it’s time for us to really enjoy the peace and quiet that Winter is really primed for.

In popular culture, it’s common for people to be encouraged to work hard and play hard for the entire month of December, leading up to Yule and New Year’s Day… And then to suddenly quit everything “cold turkey” on January first and throw ourselves into our “new year’s resolutions.”

Alternately, by working more gradually through the Wheel of the Year, we ease our way into our intentions for the new year in a more natural, sustainable way. February’s Eve is the perfect time to clear away the Midwinter decorations, do some “spring cleaning,” and take some calm, quiet time for self care before the excitement of Spring really kicks in.

I invite you to join me for this fun Imbolc season witchy bucket list to experience as much joy and fulfillment this year as possible!
