The First Harvest
How did your summer (and the first half of your year) shape up? It’s time to celebrate the abundance of our “harvest”… whether that be physical / tangible results or internal growth – or better yet, both!
This “first harvest” phase of the Wheel Of The Year is all about having gratitude for where you’re at in life, getting crafty with the resources that are available to you and preparing for the coming Autumn and Winter seasons ahead.
August’s Eve / Lammas / Lughnasadh is the seasonal checkpoint that takes place halfway between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox. It’s likely still hot and summery, but the days are already beginning to shorten.
This time of year prompts us to check in with our intentions for the year and take stock of how things are coming along so far. We’ve certainly grown and evolved since the Winter Solstice / New Year’s time, and there are things to celebrate and things to improve before the year’s end.
