Seasonal Living For The Autumn Equinox / Virgo & Libra Season (Podcast 177)

astrology of the autumn equinox

As witches, many of us are very familiar with celebrating the Autumn Equinox or “Mabon” on the wheel of the year… But do you know the astrological significance of the sabbat?

In this cyclical living series, we’ll be focusing on the basics of astrology – The 12 signs of the zodiac and how they fit into the greater story of the seasons and sabbats.

By living in tune with the energies of the seasons (including the “zodiac seasons,” we’re able to empower ourselves in a multitude of ways.

Each sign corresponds to a 12th of the Wheel Of the Year. And by looking at each zodiac season as a sub-section of the 8 sabbats of the witches, we’re able to see a fuller picture of the energies of the seasons and our place within them.

The Autumn Equinox is just around the corner on September 22nd. In the northern hemisphere, this moment in late September is one of two days (six months apart) when the hours of daylight and the hours of darkness are equal, this time, transitioning into the dark half of the year when the nights will be longer than the days. The equinox is a powerful moment of balance corresponding to the witchs’ sabbat known as Mabon – A celebration of the height of harvest season and the official beginning of fall. It’s a time that energetically supports us to be grateful for what we’ve manifested thus far.

In this video, I’ll be sharing with you four fun and powerful ways to harness the energy of this time of year by tapping into all four elements. Above and beyond just the typical traditions you’ve probably already heard about a million times over, instead, we’re diving much deeper into how to harness the actual astrology of the season to maximize our joy and fulfillment in early autumn.
