It’s August’s Eve Season!
If you’re just joining us here at The Writing Witch, “August’s Eve” is my non-denominational name for the August 1st holiday known to many Pagans as Lammas or Lugnasadh….
Whether you give a rat’s behind about August’s Eve or not, this flower crown tutorial is an adorable, fun and easy little craft that anyone can enjoy for summer time!
You Will Need
A plain headband
A strip of neutral colored fabric (forest green would actually be best)
Cloth flowers and foliage of your choosing
Green twine or floral wire (optional, but highly recommended)
Glue gun and scissors (yes, my glue gun is gross from like 20 years of good use!)
Let’s get started! This video shows the entire process from beginning to end.
*Note: be very careful with the glue gun! I mean this for your safety as well as for the aesthetic of your flower crown! You’ll see in the video how I’m careful to make sure that any visible glue is pooled in a perfect little “dew drop!”
Enjoy!
I hope you’ll try this tutorial and strut around like a faerie in your lovely new crown!
